Back in June 2007, over 40 people died in Karachi due to heavy rainstorm. Most of the deaths were due to the collapsing of the billboards. City government took immediate action and demolished all huge size billboards.
Now once again billboards are mounted in the city and publicity of all types including “Election 2008” is projected on heavy size billboards. If history repeats itself (may Allah save us) then who will be responsible for killing of innocent people this time?

KARACHI: More than 40 people were killed and over 200 injured following a windstorm and the first monsoon shower in the metropolis, which exposed the efficiency of the City District Government, the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation and other civic agencies.
