Why don't they try the Palaces instead?

Militants Clash With Police in Riyadh

Militants launched coordinated car bombings and battled security forces in the Saudi capital Wednesday night in attacks that killed eight people, caused oil prices to jump and signaled that Islamic extremists are keeping up their fight despite the kingdom’s crackdown on al-Qaida.

a few more of these may actually get the Royal’s asking for more American security

did they do over any rollers? if so then yes.

Hey...Libya did try to take the Palaces..by sending it's own fighters...to kill the Crown Prince...but they all got caught...

PA, there is flip side to every thing, but one should recognize that there is a genuine resistance against the despotic royal regime in Arabia. So your question about why not the palaces, I think the most logical answer would be that they are protected more than any thing in a monarchy. Most of the palaces in Riyadh are beyond public access and have security parameters of like kilometers to protect them. Other than that if you are familiar with the Saudi power structure you will realize that the three main power contenders in the kingdom have their own security forces which hardly see each other eye to eye, and these forces are just there to protect the palaces.

I think, the terrorists (anti Saud) are bringing the dissent in the public sphere same as the Saudis are running more and more ads on terrorism in the US media.
