Why don’t most Pakistani men know how to cook. I mean, most can’t even make a cup of tea or fry an egg. I myself learned basic cooking skills from my mother when I was in school and I think I’m quite a passable cook right now.

A guy who doesn’t even know how to cook. Some one who can’t even fulfill the most basic of necessities without help; what KIND of a human is he???

A lot of Pakisani men know how to cook. They just do not want their wives to feel insecured. That’s just win/win situation for them. :wink:

P.S. I can cook a lot of dishes better than women bhai sahab, except chapati -can’t make dough. :smack:

I feel that's because, from younger age itself, a guy is too pampered by his mom,sisters or other females in the home to be allowed to go into kitchen to try anything.

Hey I cook just fine. I usually cook for 4 or 5 people when I am in herat - weekly even.

Women are jealous of our mastery in cooking.

They don't feel comfortable when we are in kitchen helping or making something on our own.

I understand, so I let them manage their kingdom of kitchen.

Most of the working desi women living in pak either dont know how to cook or dont like to cook....bottom line being when we can earn in thousands why should we sit back at home and cook why not hire someone for 5 k

Lol, I honestly like the fact that some men don't know (or act like they don't know) how to cook, I personally like having the kitchen all to myself, plus I love to cook so, meh.

Well I am not one to cook unless I have to... Most guys probably feel the same. Cooking is generally the Female role, getting the food in the first place is the Male job. :)

However most Women I would think were probably better cooks, however very very few Women and even few Men would dare to eat the sort of things I could, I wonder how many Desi people actually even eat meat they prepared themselves... personally I would be a very bad day if I had to eat flesh I did not cut off myslef. :)

As you can tell I am more a carnivorous being and quite a predatory one too... so most dishes revolve around meat... I would hate cooking vegtables. Thank Allah for Patatoes... easy. :)

Pfffft I'm used to cooking for myself and I can make some mean meals. I'm pretty sure I've posted tips in the Cooking Forum ;)

Men are still better cooks though. Go to the best restaurents theyre all men. Not just desi food.
Food in general us men are better.

I can cook a little to get by but i wouldnt say i can cook "mean meals" but i do try and this summer my momma will be teaching some dishes. Its all a learning curve...
