A thought just came across my mind while I was browsing cricinfo.org.
Cricket is as popular in Pak as it is in India so why is it that Pakistan does not have one decent cricket web site.
I see Pakistanis here quoting scores/analysis/comments from Indian websites…not that I mind…but wouldn’t it be better if they had some websites of their own…

well the thing is that Indian people are wayy tooo crazy with cricket than Pakistani people, pakistani just know how to play it better. :D
Secondly its not true that Pakistani people dont quote from pakistani sites, i have and alot of other people have posted stuff from Thenews, Dawn etc......but these are news sites actully and so are htcricket and rediff and indiatimes etc.
True. Pakistan should have a few decent cricket sites. It is a shame that a nation which is so cricket crazy has yet to produce a decent site of its own. Even the official Pakistan cricket site is run by cricinfo. It is the same in hockey as well.
I think its just not lucrative enough. People in Pakistan are very crazy about cricket but they aren't very crazy about clicking on advertisments. There was this one free Web-2-Cell SMS service which banned users from Pakistan because they werent clicking on the ads. Plus, the online users mostly only need access to scores which they can get from several sites. if I were to make a website today for Pak. cricket, I'd have a tough time getting a loan for it. Its just not profitable.
personally, i think, with cricinfo running no one else shud even bother to work on a cricket site....
there's all anyone needs about cricket on cricinfo....
