Pakistan is not ready for democracy. In NWFP and Baluchistan, democracy has yielded an Islamist government that wants to implement the Hisbah law. How can it then be democratic to override the mandate of this democratic government and set aside the Hisbah law?
Pakistan cannot have full democracy like Western countries. It needs a guided supervised semi-democracy, which is controlled by the military. A bit like Turkey.
