Why do the Pakjabi elites exploit Islam in order to promote their interests in the South Asian region? Pakistan exploited Islam in order to control the Afghan government and sent in their own lapdogs - Taliban - to impose mediaeval rule in Afghanistan. The Taliban controlled nothing but were merely put forward to show to the world that there was an Afghan regime, when in fact the regime was run by retired ISI/military personnel. Pakistan allowed the Taliban to destroy the Bamiyan Buddhas, even when it values its own cultural property and protects it zealously (e.g. Indus valley ruins or Harappa). After all, we don’t see Musharraf ordering the destruction of Gandhara Art. When the Pakjabi elites realised that supporting the Taliban after 9/11 would mean getting skinned alive at the hands of Bush, they ditched the Taliban, forgot about the “strategic depth” it offered, and suddenly began dancing Bush’s tune about the need to clamp down on terrorism. The Pakjabis traded the poor indoctrinated (by ISI) Taliban soldiers for $$$$ from America. For each Taliban sold, Pakistan received millions. This just shows the mentality of the Pakistani elite - the Urdu-loving (but English-preferring) cosmopolitan landlord-cum-tax-dodger-cum-venal-politician who spends millions on his daughter’s wedding, who then goes out wearing skimpy skirts and enjoys the pleasures of La Whore, while Afghan women must put up with not being educated.
The same has been done in Kashmir. Islam has been exploited. Islamist parties belonging to the Maududi ideology have been used to commit terrorism and kill people who don’t agree with Kashmir’s accession with Pakistan. Kashmiris have been told that Pakistan is Islam and that contradicting this principle is tantamount to apostasy (even while they’ve been kept in the dark about La Whore). Pakistan has used its terrorist infrastructure to bring misery to the lives of the Afghan and Kashmiri people. It promised Kashmiris military help but failed to fulfil its promises because it felt La Whore was in danger. And now it is ditching the Kashmiris, by cutting off help to the Kashmiri movement. In 1995 Pakistan destroyed the indigenous Kashmiri independence movement (JKLF) by killing its cadres in both AJK and IHK, and propping up the Islamist Hizbul Mujahideen. Now, it has ditched even this Talibanic group, by selling the fighters of this group to the Indians in return for trade links and other benefits.
What has led to the creation of this sick evil class of exploiters, who not only keep the Pakistani people in ignorance but also exploit religion for the sake of promoting their interests in the neighbouring regions. Why was Musharraf’s face as black as coal when the London bombings were linked to Pakistani madrassas?

I aint no Bharati dude. When the Mujahidin ousted Najibullah's regime, what need was there to float the Taliban? The Mujahidin had been supported by everyone. They set up a government with Rabbani as the head. This was recognised by all states, including India and Iran. But Pakistan sent in the brainwashed Urdu-speaking Taliban and supplied them money and arms, even taking part in the operations in Jalalabad (where Pak artillery was responsible for many civilian deaths).
I don't know about Ghulam Abbas's daughters but he did not represent Kashmir. He represented the Jammu muslims. Kashmiris wanted to be an independent nation.

Sharia itself is a concept that needs to be investigated… Islamic law and Islam has to be moulded to fit the times we live in, otherwise it will continue to be abused… Policy these days is dictated not by morals or ethics but by national intrest, so its not just Pakistan that does this. Most other countries that involve religion in politics face the same problem, they drag the religoin through the mud along with the politics. Islam gets caught in the middle because Pakistan insists on having a state relgion. Remove Islam from govt and you wont have this problem. Lets make practical laws, we dont need Islam to tell us that adultery and alcohoism is bad, that should be obvious..
The question is not about Islamic jurisprudence and what the word Sharia means. It's about Pakistan practising what it preaches. Pakistan sponsors fundamentalists in Kashmir (and destroys the secularists-independentistas). It orders them to burn down cultural property, schools and suppress the thousand-year old cultural traditions in Kashmir. In short, it attempts to wipe out the indigenous culture of Kashmir. And then, it launches the same campaign in Afghanistan, not only to wipe out the Pashtun identity but also to destroy Afghanistan's past. However, in Lahore and Karachi, full freedom is given for singers to sing, poets to compose poetry, for girls to wear all sorts of revealing dresses. Panjabo-Mohajir elites exploit Urdu as a symbol of "Islamic identity" but themselves prefer to use English to go one notch higher than the people they exploit. They exploit Islam to bring together diverse nationalities and impose the Gangetic Urdu culture on the otherwise Iranian-Central Asian communities of Sarhad and Northern Areas. Is there any merit in Pakistan? Does this country have any justification for its existence? How long will it last? Did Yugoslavia last for ever? Haven't the pakistani elites yet recognised that the enterprise they are running is doomed and is built upon evil, ignorance and exploitation? that it's unstable and will collapse under its own weight?

In Punjab, we arent allowed to speak anything but Urdu in our schools, so yeah, big support for culture there...
In Karachi, the culture is made up of a mix of a bunch of different ethnicities not just one.
