My computer slows down…has a mind of its own. I see the task manager and internet explorer is usually using the most amount. Please let me know what I can do…I have done the disk clean up and the usual virus scans too. After that im technologically chanllenged..thats my extent of computer wizardry.

Ask: what are your system specs? How much memory have you got installed in your PC/laptop?
This causes could be diverse, maybe some installed plugin or anti-virus scan in the background while the page loads.. stuff like that.

Gizzy how do I find that out.Tell me the way I will look for em. I really don't know whats happening as earlier I had the computer wiped and had windows reinstalled.

^-- you have a fresh windows? and still have this problem. strange. hmmm
Richt click on "My Computer" then select from the pop-up menu "Properties"
Then on the General Tab it shows you memory and CPU speed, etc.
Defragg it and Clean it.
I use CClean and Defraggler once a week and then virus scan it.
EDIT: To find out your computer specs, right click your MyComputer and go to properties. you should see the basic motherboard, for further specs go to device manager.
