I mean if God does love us so much and he is so powerful, why would he allow suffering in this world?
^ so that u can tell what hell'll be like.......laikin kuch hain kai samajhtai hi nahin
^ what?
If everyone in this world was rich & content, complacency would seek into everybody's prayers & gradually forget the Almighty. There would be no religion left & everyone would be just lost in their own world.
You won't know what is light if you don't know what is darkness.<---same theory....
Would we know what "good" is if we didn't know what evil was?
Would we learn to cherish if we didn't know what suffering was?
You can’t be that dumb Lussii!!! ![]()
Re: Why does God allow suffering and evil?
I see it like God is testing us.
Re: Why does God allow suffering and evil?
its all relative, we wouldn't know the extent of happiness until we've suffered a little
Re: Why does God allow suffering and evil?
If you love God a great deal, you'll put up with the suffering. Also part of the whole deal made with Shaitaan. That's how the Islamic theology goes. If you look for an answer aside from that, then I dont know what to tell you. I don't think anyone will ever figure it out.
Re: Why does God allow suffering and evil?
For a larger good? Consider the recent tsunami. The cause was an under water earthquake - release of pressure. Theoretically, the damage could have been more immense if the pressure had not been released?
Suffering is not a punishment for the individual. How would that explain the death of new-born babies? In a way, god is less concerned about (a) man; he is more concerned about mankind. From the view point of certain religions, if it is to be taken as a punishment or a warning, it is a warnign for the survivors, not punishment for the victims
Re: Why does God allow suffering and evil?
So god is more concerned about mankind rather then a Man ? That means god does love man but he will sacrifice that love for his love for mankind ? what does that means ? As an individual you maynot be loved if there is a greater danger to mankind ? Does this also means that god an almighty force is less effective to a man if there is a greater danger to mankind ? Can this explanation gives releaf to the tsunami victim ? Is this the real cause for tsunami and other bad things happening arround ?
