For me, it’s an escape from reality. I become the characters while reading. I live in their world and forget mine.

I enjoy reading; did so as a kid. It can be relaxing before going to sleep. I teach the subject so I also read to be updated on books that I can recommend to students. But, yes, it also sometimes serves as an escape for me as well…as a distraction from my own problems.
