good lord.
Re: WHY do you not read namaz/wear hijab?
^^why our religion ask women to wear hijaab ?
also...it is besides the point SYRAA, wearing hijab or not, or covering islamically or not, is NOTHING to do with our actions....our good and bad are seperate. i dont wear it., yet i know not to make BS excuses as to why. I dont wear it because I DONT. simple. I would hate to justify it.
I cannot believe that you actually think our actions and behaviour are entirely seperate issues. As muslims, our actions are so important. Pray do tell what's the point in wearing a hijab and then not acting and behaving in a modest way? Oh and don't imply I'm making "BS excuses", because as far as I'm aware I wasn't making an excuse I was simply saying that hijab is much more than just dressing in a certain way. Maybe we shouldn't get so hung up over whether someone covers their hair or not? Besides, religion is between an individual and Allah swt...how someone else practices their own religion really has nothing to do with you.
^^ DM bhai don’t bother.
Hijaab gets more respect on www.boards.ie than on www.paklinks.com
No joke!
Other than that, I will simply not debate about hijab because its something that cannot be taught.. it simply “comes to you”… Nobody stood over me with a Quran telling me why I should wear one.. It was just something I decided I should do… So like Syraa said, religion is between Allah and the individual… lets not point fingers at each other.
I will not debat nor i will point out ni 1 who not wear hijab, main sirf itna keh rha hon jo humara religion humain kehta hai woh humain karna hai, koi kare na kare sab ko apna jawab dena hai.
Re: WHY do you not read namaz/wear hijab?
Why just a hijab? Why not go all the way and wear a burqa and a niqaab?
Re: WHY do you not read namaz/wear hijab?
so does anyone really have a valid reason for not wearing a hijab
Because I am a bloke
In my honest opinion the hijaab doesn't represent the same thing to everyone thus some do not feel the desire/need to wear it. This isn't an excuse-it's just the way it is.
Back in 1992, you wouldn't have found as many 'designer' hijaabs etc readily available in the UK but now it's a different story. Why is that? Two main reasons come to mind:
more women are turning towards wearing one and wish for it to be as fashionable as their clothes
it's become a fashion item-and let's face it for some it will be a fashion fad and will disappear after a while.
Because of the party that wear it as a fashion piece rather than believing it's an essential piece of modesty kit (which I personally do not believe-I wear a headscarf, even as work and wear a coat/jacket which I believe is modest and does the job fine) it does put some girls off. I know you think this is an excuse Nadz the truth of the matter is everyone will think differently.
As for the issue of missing Salaahs of delibrately not reading them, I'm not sure what type of feedback you are expecting? Some miss Salaahs because they are at work and unable to complete their salaah or they are commuting to/from work at the time of salaah and miss it. Some are unable to get up in the morning for various reasons so miss their fajr salaah. Some choose not to practice this part of their religion. Whatever the reason we all simply will answer to the Almighty, so what's the point in giving excuses?
Hijaab ko choro bhaiyya ye to discuss hota he rehta hai. Ae dasso namaaz kyun nai parhde ho. Thats one of the questions OP has put forward. What’s our excuse for not saying our prayers?
Don’t answer me or the OP but we do know who is going to be demanding an answer and we better be prepared.
I think this thread can be moved to the Religion section now. ![]()
Don't answer me or the OP but you do know who is going to be demanding an answer and u better be prepared.
Exactly, we should always look inwards and work hard to better ourselves as we all go to our own graves eventually. There's no point in demanding reasons as to why others don't read namaz or wear Hijab.
^ yup.. and that is exactly why I changed the words from “you” to “we” because I didn’t want anyone thinking I was referring to others only and not myself.
The only people I’ll be demanding answers from would be my kids. They better have an innovative excuse for not saying their prayers etc. or no sweets for them
what better way to punish em “nicely”!
So yeah, concentrate on urselves and ur offspring only. If everyone did that, the muslim world would be in a much better shape today.
You ARE??? OMG…thats news to us.
Nadzz,
So far, I havent heard excuses like “because she is hijabi and was kissing this guy and blah blah blah”…never heard anyone say that. Im beginning to question the company you keep lady…![]()
Anyway, the issue of hijab is not something so simple for people to answer. Everyone respects it but many dont do it for various reasons. They may not be ready, may not believe in it, may not want to or may feel like they are already dressing modestly. Whatever the reason, it requires self-reflection and a better relationship with Allah swt himself. No one will come here and tell you “hey nadzz, i dnt wear hijab because its lame”…so Im not sure what you were looking for.
But Reha, this thread itself is full of such statements.

Re: WHY do you not read namaz/wear hijab?
i dont read namaz because i am simply lazy...i havent developed the habit to pray regularly, i pray when i really need someone to talk to. Hijab in my opinion is not fard its modesty thats fard and i believe i dress modestly.
^ Respect!
