You mean why do they want the same liberties as men? I think that's obvious.
I have met women who are sort of ashamed of being feminine or displaying traits commonly associated with women -- nurturing, caring, beautiful, etc.
But I'm not interested in giving up what makes me feminine and womanly. I just want to have the opportunity to choose my path.

Why do I want to do something without being afraid of my reputation being ruined (staying out late, going on trips with friends etc)?
Why do I want the same freedoms and independence?
yeah, I can't imagine why I couldn't be content with being paid unfairly and living in a virtual cage.

I just remembered why i like working with mostly all men and i have mostly all male friends...
I meant you know like does he mean salary wise, dressing like men some women don't like wearing dresses to work b/c they feel they lose a certain amount of authority when they do that. as human beings both men and women should enjoy being treated the same way
i work in a completely male dominated field but i don't feel like i have to act like them to gain respect.

Thou shalt not give in to injustice. Giving in, acceptance, and contentedness are not synonymous. The standard for a woman's happiness as defined by men is not up to par to womens' standard (and no, women should not lower their expectations/standards in this case). It isn't about wanting to be like men, it's about changing the discrepancies that women are subject to; a hanging appendage has naught to do with it palface.
