we talk about america.the west and we say they do this this and this to our muslim nations…why do we want them to like us, they dont need to, in fact we need to stand up for ourselves and support ourselves,but we expect them to not do somethin in exchange for us actually doing something…

I am happy to be who I am and I love my origins and I don't need USA or UK to like my country if they do liek then fine and good if the ydont then again fine .
I believe we should take the good from all the countries and leave the bad.

We don't want them to like us. The issue is that we are all humans and deserve to be treated the same. Perpetrators may not be accountable in this life, but they will in the next.
In terms of 'standing up for ourselves' lets take Gaza as an example. You imagine that you're a 10 year old child holding sticks and stones, trying to 'stand up for yourself' when you see an Israel war tank coming towards you loaded with all the best equipment available. How do you stand up for yourself?

um.. its not that we want them to LIKE us. It's just that we want them to stop discriminating against us just cuz we dress a certain way and act a certain way. I do not have to like white ppl but that doesn't mean im gonna go out there and label them as being bad and discriminate against them because I don't like them.
I say they want us to be like them. An American lady stayed with us for a few days. She had problem with everything. Why were women wearing shalwar kameez and not jeans and shirts, why were not roads a little wider, why was sugar granular and not fine, why couldn’t couples hold hands or hug in public. And the crux was that we should be like them. Why, lady? Who said you are the benchmark, we have our own ways out here. One is trendy enough If they go by latest fashion, they dont necessarily have to wear jeans. And they are not coerced to wear shalwar kameez. Their throat wont be slit either if they wear jeans. its just they do what they like. And sugar, our granular sugar squeezed out of sugar cane is way better then your beet root sugar(read talcum powder). 
And lady, you held hands, and hugged and kissed in public, why are you mourning now?

I actually think they envy us...Ive had some white people actually say it to me.
They say "your culture is so rich, family values are still so strong and you know exactly who you are as well as where you came from. We wish we had that." No joke.
To be quite honest, once I was old enough to understand things...I stopped wanting to be part of their crowd. As a child, you try to fit in because there is nowhere else for you to go. But once you start to see the beauty of who you are...Western culture seems so bland in comparison. Any culture seems bland in comparison.
