Okay now I believe we do not need to have an army at all in Pakistan . We should go under UN observation for protection . India does not care about us they have gone well past those days and could not care less about us . Hindus on whole are not bad people any way really as long as they use a decent perfume but that is beside the point . We have no fear from India and we can not fight Americans (yes I respect the feelings a Muslim and I am myself a Practicing Muslim) but hellooo see what happened to Taliban or Iraq . We at the moment can not fight them.
So what does Pakistani army actually does after digesting round about 80% of our money . They invade and occupy their own country after every few years and sit there until economy melts down and country become a pothole and then let it be fair elections again !!! what for to capture the country again after few years .
Also I must mention the politically I am a nutral person but what was the point of removing Mr.Sharief if he was to become this poor full again . Whats the difference now only that the country is in more problems now that before .
We not need to have an army to nukes just get rid of them . Bring in UNO get rid of ISI and all the Mullahs and just concentrate on economy build something .

^Its fact that you dont know the ground reality of Pakistan and its relations with india. sure we can see IRaq and Afghanistan situation,, for the very same reason we have to keep our defence forces, weak countries like Iraq and Afghanistan are prone to invasions that you are watching in Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq etc.

The UN's reliability was proven at Srebrenica in Yugoslavia. UN troops refused to fight to save lives and instead stepped aside when threatened.
That's why you can't put yourself under UN protection. Should elections in India bring hawks to power who want to occupy Pakistan, UN forces cannot be relief upon at all.
And because effective armed forces cannot be produced in a year (it takes several years to create them, given the need for training, etc), you need an Army in Pakistan that is ready to face whatever India can throw in the next couple of years. Because India's military budget is so high, Pakistan needs to spend a large portion of its spending on the army so that it is ready to fight not the current government in India, but the worst case scenerario for what the Indian goverment could be in 5-10 years.
Answer these questions first.
1. Can Pakistan win a conventional war with India ?
2. Is Kashmir the only unresolved issue between India and Pakistan ?
3. Is Pakistani leadership brave and bold enough and has guts to resolve the Kashmir issue ?
4. Can India or Pakistan afford to use nukes against each other ?
5. Will India or Pakistan use nukes in a future war if any ?
If the answer to all of the above questions is no then we do not need the army. If answer to any one of the above questions is yes then we need the army and have to feed the army budget even if we have to tie stones on our empty stomachs as was done at the time of Ghazwa a Khandaq.
Pakistan does not need to maintain an army that can defeat India in order to deter a hawkish future Indian government. What is instead needed is an army that is of a sufficient size to deter aggression, for fear of the cost to India.
A similar example is the British navy versus the German navy in World War 1. The British Navy was much larger and would certainly win any major battle.... but the fear of the cost of victory to the Navy meant that Britain's Navy generally avoided fighting the German navy; meaning Britain stayed well away from the German coast.

Pakistan's possession of nuclear weapons is a shield against Indian first use; not a shield against conventional attack.
Both Pakistan and India have trained for years in how to manage conventional forces in a nuclear war - you can disperse your forces so that no single nuke can take them all out; then move them through a nuclear strike zone afterwards.
There is a reason why both Pakistan and India have invested so much in NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protection for their tanks and APCs. They are both prepared for the fighting that will come after a nuclear exchange.
First of thats the point I am trying to make India will not attack us . Why would they really ??? their army is for china not for us . I will try to answer your questions .
ANS 1) NO - Pakistan can not win any sort of war with India at the moment .
ANS 2) NO - Kashmir is not Pakistans Issue at ALL .
ANS 3) NO - Mushraf is a dictator not a leader any way . BB probably had but she is dead now . I am not her voter and believe that her regime was the most corrupt of all times but truth is truth .
ANS 4) NO - Obviously that can not .
ANS 5) NO - These are just scare tactics and Indian build up is not for Pakistan any way .
so there you go all NO s. But having said that I will point out that questions you raised were your Ideas only . We are dieing our country is Falling apart and our own army is sucking us dry .
Even if as you claim India isn't a threat (which I don't buy, BTW)...how do you propose Pakistan deal with all the Taleban militants, Waziristani & Balochi rebels, and whatnot?
Have an ineffective UN force come in and do the same kind of brilliant work they did in Bosnia and Somalia? And you don't imagine that the people of Pakistan would have any problem having European & American soldiers trouncing around their country?
