Why can’t we say Assalam Walaykum to a Non-Muslim?
Why can’t a Non-Muslims go to Mecca or Medina? On what basis are they so unclean that their entry is prohibited?

Non muslims are not allowed in Mecca or Medina because they don't understand the significance of it. What it repreasents.
Im not aware of any secret handshakes amongst muslims.
Not sure about the one step behind thing. I thought women were to pray at the back so there are no temptations for men or wrong thoughts.

Non-muslims aren't allowed to establish their religions in the arabian peninsula. There not even supposed to enter it I think. Thats whats got osama so mad.
Women have to pray behind men because if they are infront men might contemplate sin.

I don’t mean secret handshake literally. I was referring to saying Assalam Walaikum to non-Muslims. It’s like a secret handshake. You can only do it with certain people, and not other.
And why can’t Non-Muslims enter Arabia?

Women actually CAN pray in front or alongside men, as long as there is a pardah of some kind between them. You want to focus on your own prayer, not on people around you. And comon, if you're single, you will WANT to eye out the candy around you. Its just natural.
It doesn't make women some sinful toys or anything. In fact, it works both ways. Women get tempted to look around a bit too. I guess that fact just gets underplayed by scholars.
