You seem like a nice guy so whatever I say here is with all due respect:
The only negative impression that the world has for islam is that it breeds terrorists; this cannot be further from the truth, Islam teaches peace and unity. Infact, it is the fastest spreading religon in the WORLD. This fact by itself gives the true picture of islam. As far as Hinduism is concerened, lets face facts: it promotes and gives God like attributes to animals and inanimate objects, this is shirk and people who indulge in shirk are called kafirs. Further, the idea of worshipping monkeys and elephants (again, I do not mean disrespect here) is laughed at here in the west.
Secondly, many muslims in India have a soft spot for Pakistan. They know that they belong in an islamic state; however, there are other muslims that dislike Pakistan to fit in with their hindu companions. The avaam of kashmir want to be Pakistanis and it is our RIGHTFUL land, so my indian friend your government cannot call itself a democracy because the pleas of the citizans are falling on deaf ears.
