Why do u follow a religion?

salams n stuff,

Why do u follow a religion?

Chairman Mao said" religion is the poison of society and a good nation".

do U agree?

w-salams n stuff,
Jai Peeri.

Chairman Mao probably had this Forum in mind when he made his comments re: religion.

lol AbdulMalick :)

Deen i.e, Religion means "way of life". So If u want to spend ur life the right way, follow a religion.

the beleif system suggesting that we must not believe in a religion, is a religion in itself!
tell chairman mao!

salams n stuff,

just talked to chairman mao through me VG board and he says that not believing in a religon is not a religion but its wot the religion holders have named it to be as another religion. For where the belief of a religion holder is for everyone to have a religion.

w-slams n stuff,
Jai Peeri.

Men despise religion. They hate it and are afraid it may be true.

Dear PeerSIMMS,

With me it is the other way around. Can’t take it off my back. It is following me around since I left the country.

Sometimes not knowing is better than knowing too much.

MAULANA PEER SAHAB.. THE ONLY PURPOSE OF HUMAN IN THIS WORLD IS TO PRAY ONLY AND ONLY GOD ALMIGHTY.. AND THATS WHAT A RELIGION IS MENT FOR...

CHANDA

Asalamu Alaikum,

I follow the religion of Islam because I'd rather follow the rules made by Allah versus following rules created by man, which change with society.

W'salam

An intersting point was raised in this posting. "following the rules made by a devine power against the rules made by the society(or people) which are always changing".
I was wondering if the concept of religion was also changed with the passage of time. From Hamburabi's code to the concepts of modern religions like Judeism ,Islam and Christianity. Or we might say from the fear of an eclipse, or apperence of dark clouds on the sky, to the awareness that we are unaware of its start and there are certain things which are not in our hands. These things were few of the starting concepts which changed the shape of the religions.
I some times think that the different shapes of religions are also due to the reason that they were carved by different societies in different times, or by different people...
so it is going to remain this way, always changing...people and religions.
It would have been a better place...
