I have been thinking of this issue for pretty long now. Why are you a muslim?is it because you are born in a Muslim family and there is no way out?or do u actually feel the love and presence of Allah in your life? how do you know there is a God?and when you say you believe in Allah, what do u believe in: is it the fear that makes you believe or the love to your God?
Now as I am concerned I have for long time feared Allah as thats what I have been brought up with: that if we do this or that then ALlah will get angry and life will get messed up.
After such a long period now I am realizing that Allah has introduced Himself as Ar-Rehman Ar-Raheem: the most merciful ever!He loves you 70 times more than your mum so just imagine how much Allah has for His creatures.
Life suddenly becomes different in a posivite manner when one realizes the attributes of Allah. To know His attributes is to to know Him. so thats what I am trying to get more in depth with so I can get closer to my Creator.
You learn so much when you read and try to understand the Quran. The power and the greatness of Allah SWT is amazing!
There are so many reasons why I love Allah that I can't go over all of them. He is our creator, the most beneficial, the most merciful. We, human beings, constantly make mistakes yet He continually forgives us. We are blessed with so much, things we take for granted. It's a blessing that we were born into a Muslim home and had an Islamic upbringing, regardless of where we were born because the one thing that unites all of us is our faith. No matter how hard we try, we will never be able to thank Allah enough for all the blessings He showers upon us but that doesn't mean we should just give up and not thank Him. Apart from reading shukr prayers, I think it's important to feel the gratitude within because Allah SWT knows all and sees all and He knows when his creations acknowledge all that He does for us.
Well i wanna congragulate you, cuz your USING your brain and asking these questions which are normal! Most people just follow what their parents thought them and dont know exactly what islam is all about! Lots of people i know pray their namaaz but dont know what are they saying in arabic, or when they read quran they dont know what they are reading! Its wise for one to read the translation of quran just by it self! What i believe…people who ask the questions like you do have good potential to become excellent muslims! One day when there is nice weather go outside and look at the sky, look at the trees, look at the creation that surrounds you, think who about how they operate, how the system is working so precisely! Look at the fruit that you eat for example a pomegranate(anaar) …just look at the beautiful creation of allah, how it grows from the soil and turns out be soo sweet…it has sophisticated packing, each seed is wrapped in a natural packing of rupper like coating to protect em…Did the man create this beautiful fruit? no..but Allah swt did!
