Why do they put that little black thing in salans??!?!

any body here know what i’m talking about? I always tell my mom to skip the little black thing they put in salans that taste like crap when you eat one by mistake. She always tells me it’s for flavor but it pisses me off cause how can that little black thing give any kind of flavor when it taste like dirt?!

I think it’s just a cultural thing and its been passed on from the past…doubt it has anything to do with taste. U know u hate it.

I hate when I accidentally bite down on one of those things :(

I asked my mom and she said it's because it gives flavor.
