Why do the brides always..(Q 5 NYA )

look like clowns? they tend to have waaay too much make up on. A lot of times it looks more gross then funny.

cuz they try to look compatible to groom.

maybe cuz they dunno nuffin bout a good beauty parlour in their area and go to a paint shop instead

mabye cuz under the photo and film lights they need extra so that if their makeup melts they still have enuff on to compensate..

or maybe because they wanna highlight or accent their features..

i ave'nt seen a clown bride yet, i'll remember to look in the mirror wen i get married

so true

The GuPPeR ForMallY KnowN as MadaM MariA

…make up on the wedding day should make the bride look extra-special. and like if yer a girl who doesn’t normally wear a lotta makeup..then just putting a light layer makes you look really nice.. but aj kal a lot of the larkiya are wearing makeup everyday, so that when it comes to looking like a bride, their mum’s make them put more gunk on so that they look showy.

but- it could also be for the camera’s too, because i know you have to put on a lot of makeup when you are doing a show…otherwise you look pale in front of the audience since they are so far away.

…but as for some chicas who glob on bright-blue eye shadow and neon green whatzahoozits… they/ their mums are just color blind.

hey…its the times man…i mean the 80’s had brides turnin up as rainbows..blue and green eyeshadows…lately the thing has been “keep it natural”…so brides nowadays are turnin up real pretty…but there are exceptions…believe u me…

“If u must make a mistake, make a new one each time”

Got to see a few brides this year...and yes, most of them have had minimal make-up and they have looked beautiful.

Make-up to accentuate existing features and give a rosey glow is always appreciated, while "painting" has always been frowned upon.

The "in" thing now is rhinestones. Everyone seems to be wearing them. In the hair, on the hands, in the nails, on the brow, on the cheekbones....even saw one with rhinestones stuck to her lips...imagine. Wish I had a camera.

I think it all depends on how much money the bride parents have to spend on the wedding.

If the parents are poor, like the vast majority then they can not afford a beauty parlour or some professional stylish to do the make up and the hair done, so instead someone from the family does the job and the result may be the bride looking like a "clown".

If the parents are rich, of course there are sessions to the beauty parlour, cos money is no problems and professional doing their stuff the end product turns out to be a beauftiful bride.

.

Thats exactly what I told my parents, before they had me married off
I said, Mum, I will find my own guy and when i find him, i will have a small ceremony with the Qazi and the Gawahs and after the ceremony, I will give Qazi his fees and tell him to Shoo Off and then Me and My new Mian will have fun

I think they got Scared
