It is not a Pakistani phenomenon, its global. Desis look up to a lot of people, including Arabs, Goray and even Cheenay. And look down upon Habshis. Goray are often intimidated by Arabs esp the loaded ones, and I’ve personally witnessed well accomplished goray kissing some Arab arse. Arabs look down upon Desis and look up to Goray. People with darker skin tones want to make it lighter, those with lighter skin tones want to make it darker. Nobody is happy and hardly anyone likes anyone for who they are, mostly including their own race. This world, my friend, is an interesting place.

You are soo wrong being arab (syrian) myself me and my family aren’t like that at all we dont look up or down at anyone. For one arabs also look down on white people for their lack of discretion, culture and religion. As for asians in general from afganistan to china; yes arabs tend to view the arab culture and society as better as they are proud of their culture. But by no means they look down i have lots of arab friends and non of them look down. Just because your culture might look down on dark dont assume every culture does.Especially since theirs arabs from sudan,uae and north africa that look black. As for pakistani abroad treated badly yes i admit it is wrong. BUT they dont do it cause they look down, i have been to saudi and its because the pakistanis rip the saudis/ arabs off all the time and tend to do really unfair business with their customers so as a result yes some arabs abroad tend to dislike pakistanis.
