generally assume the worst? If A did something B doesn’t like then the first thing that would come to B’s mind would be that A did something out of maliciousness (which may not have been the case)
Why do people do that? Personally I try to see what the other person has done and sometimes justify their actions in my head BEFORE thinking/assuming the worst

I do tht usually unless i want to pick on someone :@:
I personally give the other person the 'benefit of doubt'. Even when I am 100% of his/her intentions, I let it slide. And trust me this has worked out pretty well.
Say if someone acted in front of you in a manner that you find weird, give him or her the benefit of doubt and watch yourself will become a great peacemaker!
pessimism is a dilemma of every middle class pakistani family. ghar main jhagray fasad, ghar say bahar jao to jhagray fasad, phir ghar ao to jhagray fasad tayar…so where there is so much negativity around you then i doubt anyone can be optimistic.
even quaid-e-azam became optimistic after he went to england…otherwise before i doubt he ever thought about Sir Syed’s do-quami nazaria, or did he
I have expereinced it with ‘happy’ people too. No matter what a person does most of the time the other person will find the worst reason for the first person’s action and to be honest that IS the cause of MOST arguements ANYWHERE in the world.
People look for bad in others, when they should be looking for good, by default.

Agreed. Another thing to add is: All of us should look at ourselves first before criticizing about other people behaviours.
Something aside: Another thing I have noticed here recently is that we boast about how we respect our parents and elders. Yet, on the other hand, we complain about our FILs MILs on online forums. Especially the way women/girls come up and talk about them. I bet they would not say the same for their own parents no matter how annoying they might be. Anyway this is just an example.
Nonetheless, our self-centered behaviour is one of the disturbing reasons we are a third world country.
