Why do people get so stupid when they...

..like someone?

What is it about liking someone that makes even the most confident articulate person completely loose all common sense and sound like a total moron every time they open their mouth !!?

A person fears they will end up looking like an idiot in front of the person they like, which causes them to become nervous and that's what causes them to panic and end up sounding like a moron when they do eventually open their mouth.

hmmmmmmmmm can we get over the topics about love? It is so over rated!

I have been noticing with Summer here and mango season in full swing topics on Love are spreading from Cafe to Life ... why?

People have nothing better to talk about.

Re: Why do people get so stupid when they…

I think “liking” someone may not do all that unless you’re say in a head-over-heels, heartbeat going a mile-a-minute, idiotically-stuttering mode but even then I think the feeling is not “love” since, at this stage of my life, I have come to believe wholeheartedly that love comes with mutual respect, understanding, and “clicking” with the person…this naturally leads to the feeling we call love.

Back in my college days and even say until a few years back, I used to feel that way upon seeing or meeting someone (thinking it was love) who seemed totally, unrealistically, and Godly amazing but each and every time the feeling was of “liking” or “obsession” which would fade away fairly soon as there was nothing of substance to keep me glued to the person (ie. personality/character and whatnot).
