A think a little respect and appreciation really wouldnt hurt. Arrogance is a really bad thing not jus islamically but in reality. Seriously a Thank you is not gonna make you a less of a person.

I think its wrong to bring this up after we get married. There is always a reason why we marry someone. Specially in arrange marriages of course there is a reason why we chose that person over other rishtay we have. For example good family, good person, education, profession, etc. So if you bring that all up oh tum ne to mujh se iss lieay shaadi ki thi because I earn so much.. So just like that this whole thing of sponsoring spouse shouldn't be brought up in a happy marriages. There is no need for it.
Of course as someone mentioned that some there are cases where one spouse forgets and disrespects the person who sponsored them, that is not a happy marriage to me and in that case I think its okay to remind them.
Ok so one of you is my valentines . Decide . Jaldi .

how is it only possible to get into any country JUST cuz u know someone who lives there?
every country allows immigrants to come live there and tehn get citizenship... i dont think 'marriage' is the only way to get into a country....
so i would take serious offence if someone said that to me.. i moved to denmark after marriage and if i had to.. i could have come into this country on my own as well (never in my right mind though).. i didnt need marriage to get here...
nor did i need marriage to get into canada adn live there either (which i did for quite a bit of time too)
now unless the person is from pind without a clue of anything.. maybe u could say it to them.... but then again.. im seeing a lot of pind-folk here in europe who got out on their own without having to marry anyone. men and women alike.
