Since we’re on the topic of Indian movies…which by the way is so TOTALLY RELEVANT to KETCHUP…have any of you noticed how Indian movies try just a little TOO hard with the western slang words? It’s funny when you see actors in their 40’s portray themselves as 20-something year old college attenders trying their best to sound cool when they say, “It’s rocking!!!”
What the heck is up with that? They OVERUSE the words, “It’s rocking!!!”
And it just kinda seems a little forced and not so very natural.
And I’m hearing it in all the movies and dramas.
Hypothetical situation: Mom talks to son on phone
Maa : “Kaisay ho baita?”
Baita: “Just ROCKING!!!, Maa.”
It’s funny and annoying at the same time. My sister cringes when she hears it, so I’ve made it a point to use the words deliberately just to annoy her. Very effective, by the way.
