Apart from the fact that opposites attract, why do men prefer ‘bad girls’? Is it for the thrill of the forbidden?

Well its not true. But as always there are caveats.

  1. Before marriage: Bad is not the right word. If we are in the mood for fun - a non-serious relationship - well then we don't want bad girls. We want slutty girls who will do whatever we want and have a kicking body. Its mainly intercourse related.

  2. For marriage: Never want a bad girl. Or even a slutty girl. Because we know that slutty girl has been with a bunch of guys and we kinda like our wives to be ours only.

this situation applies on ladies as well

there are ladies looking for "bad" boys as u r calling them

there are ladies, who r looking for "good" guys for long term relationships, that might end into marriage as well

What is a "bad girl"? A prostitute? A girl who loves to flirt? A girl who just have some fun for the sake of it, nothing more? A girl who is looking for serious romance?

i agree with korn666 ..girls also prefer more sort of mature/financially stable responsible kinda guys for marriage..not flamboyant/badass kinda guys we had a crush on in highschool
