I was hoping everyone would get the idea it referred to the single/dating/engaged ones. I never had the guts to ask the married ones why they did that.

Men, and yes, women have done this since the world began. I believe that men do so more often. My personal opinion is that men need and want to be desired by "outside women", this makes the man feel young and desirable. I think once a man is married for sometime, the "new" has worn off, and he is still searching to make sure he is still wanted by other women. (its just the DAWG) in men, thats all. The enjoy the "chase" more so than the "thrill" after capturing another woman. Normally once the man "captures" the other woman,,,,,he is ready to move on to newer and more exciting things.....this is just my opinion here from an American girl.
