Why do Indians get halal meat in the West?

I have seen many Indian Hindus who go to halal shops to get their meat. Is it just to get goat?

umm cuz the blood is fully drained out by the way we slaughter animals so you're less prone to catch a mingin' disease or such.

Your right, even as a young child my Dad always used to tell me to go to the Halal shop & not to the Jatka shop. He used to say the Muslims know how to cut the meat in a better way and it tastes better.

I do not remember reading about any religious riots in pre-partition India.

I think the importance of religion in everyday life took a nasty turn when people like Jinnah etc started distinguishing everything in Hindu & muslim terms. Broke the country and opened the floodgates of hate & INTOLERANCE.

Muslims and Hindus lived together for almost 700 years as neighbours under the Muslim rule…Don’t blame Jinnah for it…

Hindus were completely happy having Muslim rulers and incorporated lots of Islamic culture into their lives…

The rift was placed by the British when they left…Divide and conquer…

Some Pakistani Hindus and Christians do buy only Halal meat becuz they know it is much cleaner and healthier. Same goes for some Indian Hindus I have heard.

Possibly you did not read about them, but riots certainly happened with some regularity along religious lines, before becharay Jinnah was born.

in india most of the mutton shops are owned by muslims
and indians are used to buy mutton from muslims and also the reason is they cut it properly

i'm a hindu, i go 20 miles to downtown mineapolis to buy meat from a pakistani shop

Halal meat tastes better. I have heard from Indian friends that once they tried it, they liked the taste of Halal meat better and switched. Same with Kosher meat.
