In my opinion partition was a sad chapter in the history of Indian sub-continent. I know several people on either side of the border who never liked it.

I would request members, to post the experience encountered by their grandparents/parents about the partition.

Indian Muslims lagging behind others…this topic has been debated at length elsewhere…poverty, lack of education and manipulation by politicians some of the main reasons.

In states like Kerala in South India..muslims do better than the rest…and this is because of education!!.

Muslims in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat(explains why certain events happened), Orissa and quite a few other states are more literate than the Hindus…very interesting!
