gujrat incident was riots.... which is the most unfortunate thing that happens in any secular society... its not a good thing... but no way it was some sort of cleansing... morons from both sides were killing each other.... i dont have to mention how it all started. who cares about chomsky... man... indian muslims are indians... indian society has flaws.... everyone faces the consequences... be it caste based, religion based, ecomonic status based or anything esle... but still its home and it doesnt discriminate among anyone... you can argue that why lower castes are poor too.... you were not expecting india to be a perfect society where everything goes right despite the fact that india is a poor country.... whole world is searching for a perfact society...... no one could come up with one yet... considering the condition of the subcontinent i think india did a pretty good job.. needless to say that i have many muslim friends ,.... indian or non indian... so whatever i say is not just one sided... infact some of my relatives are muslims too...

Of course it has flaws. No country is perfect. But my question is that it was the government that cheered on the people who committed the gujrat massacre.
If Hindu mobs killed muslims and then the Indian government send in the Army and stop the riots, then thats fine.
But the Indian government did nothing. They cheered on the rioters. They haven't prosecuted the people who did the rioting and its chief architect, Modi.
Thats the problem.
