Why do Indian journalists hound foreign players about Tendulkar...

Be it Shoaib Akhtar, Waqar, Latif, Ponting, Steve Waugh, Gellespie, Brian Lara…even Clive Loydd, Viv Richards…
no matter which foreign cricket personality visits India…they have to be asked a question (by our moron reporters)…“Do you agree Tendulkar is GOD ?” or something on those lines…

and next day… headlines will read…

Will pay to watch Tendulkar says Waugh
Tendulkar more organized than me says Lara
Warne admits he has nightmares about Tendulkar
Its a privilege to watch Tendulkar bat says Waqar

Looks like no interview is complete without the reporter getting a good sound byte on Tendulkar…

Why do I get mad…asks Some1

Tendulkar IS(was) a god. Not a long while back the only winning formula for the Indian team was
tendulkar scores Indian wins, tendulkar fails, India is doomed. I mean, he was the only one who really mattered.

haha:hehe:

you forgot one some1

All eyes on tendulkar :hehe:

maybe because they (Indian reporters) use to do it again and again ...... other reason can be that in case of a failure of Tendi or even of the whole Team they still've something to present to the cricket-crazy ppl of India which may cheer them up ......

Question is how often u've to do this til ppl r fed up by this ???????

Because most Indians feel insecure about their own judgment abilities. They need some kind of re-affirmation from foreigners. It's more of a 'feel good' thing for them. Maybe they actually do not believe that Tendulkar is that good. And each dose of 'Tendulkar is better than Bradman' gives them a shot up their ego-ass.

:k:
Also..I hate this every year “Wish Sachin Happy Bday” tamasha !!!

i too get embarrassed when the journalists ask foreign cricketers about Sachin Tendulkar...
also, when somebody criticises Sachin they blahdy go overboard in denouncing him...

it is all commercialism, pure and simple. the more the media portrays him as god, more biscuits, scooters, etc etc with Tendulkar's name on them sell.

as an aside note, it is quite stupid to start an article about Waqar's retirement with "It's a privilege to play against Tendulkar" etc etc.
