i go to the parlor each time n then get a trim rather than a haircut…
i’ve got almost waist length hair…fluctuating b/w a couple inches shorter or longer…since ummm as long as i can remember
my mom forced me to get my hair cut in steps length a couple inched belo shoulders when i was 16 and leaving for college telling me k irem u wont be able to manage it there in amreeka [since mom used to oil it n do guths in pak for me]…i was literally crying when the lady was cutting my hair it was soo sad to see the hair on the floor everyone told me the hairstyle suited me but i just felt like i was looking at a stranger when i saw the mirror…i missed my old paindoo look infact i’d keep it tied coz i felt like steps and the mod look was so not me
and since then i never got a hair cut…just trims…and i’m abt to be 23 now!
my childhood best friend has hair longer than me and she never cut hers either…
all my other close friends have short hair…
i like the paindoo gaaon look for myself i feel like it represents my inner personality most… :halo: i dont like the mod squad look…plus my dad doesnt like short hair on women…and this one time i got a haircut in eighth grade my oldest brother was kinda disappointed abt it coz i cut off many inches of hair..but they wont be offended or anything if i did get a haircut..
i just wana look neat and my hair to look well kept…but sometimes i feel like it makes me look like an aunty :halo: and maybe a change in appearance would uplift my mood n provide some excitement to life?

Just make the decision and go with it. I didnt cut my hair for several years, not even trim it. When I finally did, I was glad I did it.
One of my other friends, her hair was upto her ankles almost (just past her calves) (Mash'Allah), she finally cut it to her waist, after years of being afraid to cut it. She doesnt regret it. smile
Oh some girls tend to do that.I think basically the fact is they are so used to having long hair- its hard to imagine cutting it all of.
But over the years Iv tried all kinds of crazy hair cuts.But long hair suits me best.You should try other styles- then decide which one you like best.But change is good.And dont worry ,if you dont like it- it'll grow back anyway.

my mom forced me to get my a real short hair cut back when I was 16. I was growing my hair and would not get a hair cut and so she took the scissors and wanted to give my hair “cut” that would force me to go and have a hair cut.
I was literally crying when the barber was cutting my hair it was soo sad to see the hair on the floor … the “cut” was more than a cut and so to even out all the hair was cut and what was left was a “tindaa” look … next day in school I had to explain my new hair style. Especially to my female class mates

Or perhaps I could just have this as a hair style…. The Ganja look…. Like Ali Azmat…I do have a “well made head” my mother used to take extreme care of all of us how we slept. I remember a sand pillow which she used to position the head of my younger siblings when they were from around few months to probably a year old.[Probably something similar as well, she tells me my grand mother took great pains to round off my head…] so they are well rounded. She used try hard that we do not sleep on our sides that cuz that would effect the shape of our heads.
so I wonder if the ganj would uplift my mood n provide some excitement to life? How can it . I am still going to be the same. Excitement and moods come from with in but then perhaps the cool hair and the coolness on my head would make me more COOL if not look COOL.

hmmm im confused too…i want to have my hair cut…short…as in Monica look in Friends…but i dont have lushy hair…their quite fine…so im like sooooooooo konfused…ive asked everyone and they say it’ll suite me coz i have a heart shape face but im just not sure and satisfied…

Hair cuts aren't permanent either Irem. Highlights and hair take the same time to grow out.
