Why do babies smell so good?

That scent should be bottled…and sold as a fragrance…Eau de Bebe. :hmmm: I wonder what causes it. I’ve heard that it’s due to the lotions and powders. I’ve also heard that it comes from a hormone that the babies secrete which helps in bonding with the parents. Another theory I’ve heard is that it’s because they have a natural diet and that their sweat glands haven’t developed. Who knows…but it’s such a comforting, scrumptious smell…it makes em endearing even when they’re frustrating, lol.

It's probably all the lotions and stuff along with the fact that we're built to go gaga over babies. It's a survival mechanism to ensure that infants survive.

Also, my initial thought was RV = cradle robber lol

I love how babies smellllll! I am in love with how my nieces and nephew smell...even though Sumaiya is now 4...I still love the smell she gives off when she is sleeping...Mashallah.

Yeah I started using baby powder to get the same affect. Does not work.

They do sell the smell...use any johnsons baby product!

My son's skin couldnt tolerate it so i use a non scented line of products.... Its not the same!

Its something other then baby products. Peanut is Mashallah 15 days old today and I've always used scent free stuff but he still smells so yummy.

:hmmm: Yeah I don’t think it’s just the baby products…I think they have their own unique smell.

because the babies are given bath in "rose water" and dried with towel washed in "lavender" :)

^Yes and they grow in a"cabbage patch" and then the "stork" comes down and swoops em up and drops them off to their designated parents.

I love baby smell too. So yummy. I remember my youngest brother as a baby like it was yesterday, little bugger just became a teenager. How time flies. :naak:

omg they do smell lovely...my sister and mom refuse to agree that my little niece has a 'baby' smell. I don't like that they don't think so :( I can smell her baby smell even if she isn't wearing any baby products. I miss her now :(

ps yea im a little obsessed with her she is my first niece and less than 4 weeks old :D

Now if they had a bath, done with their chores, then stuff as said above may be true.

babies inherit their scent from their fathers... that is why they smell that good

babies have a unique smell which is awesome…

and my niece says I love to sit in nani’s lap,she smells good,its all in the love and bonding…:wub:
