They do get defensive and harsh. I think its because they’re tired of the negative connotations associated with where they were born and the automatic assumptions about their upbringing. Like our parents abandoned us when we were kids or something.
The “FOBs” don’t have to deal with that because their birthplace supposedly makes them better but you and I know that’s not always true.
