There are some interesting tidbits in the recently released report. However the question is "Why did Iran stop its nuke weapons program in 2003? Were they afraid of Bush? voanews.com/specialenglish/2007-12-07-voa2.cfm
Strangely this was about the same time Libyans too stopped working on the nukes and started pointing fingers at Abdul Qadeen Khan.
This was quickly followed by Khan’s shameful confession in January 2003.
So the Iranians were afraid that Americans will attack them?

So the Iranians were afraid that Americans will attack them?
Remember. Monkey and Zionists would have attacked Iran irrespective of the status of their nuclear program.
The only thing that stopped them was Monkey administration's bloody nose in Iraq.
Re: Why did Iran stop its nuke weapons program in 2003? Were they afraid of somthing?
^^
1 - USA invaded Iraq. So Iran was scared
2 - Iran was being led by a Moderate President, Khatami and not the right wing Ahmedinijad
3 - Libya disarmed and USA restored diplomatic ties so Iran thought of doing the same thing
4 - AQ Khan's network was busted
5 - Russia's help was conditional that Iran not make Nuclear Weapons
6 - After Iraq, it was Iran's turn so Iran turned off their nuclear weapons program
Re: Why did Iran stop its nuke weapons program in 2003? Were they afraid of somthing?
FYI. This thread is not about why Iran wasn't attacked.
Instead we are discussing why "Iran stopped its weaponization in 2003"?
Well, it was you who said:

So I said that stopping their nuclear program, if it really existed, has nothing to do with their being afraid of Bush. Because Bush would have attacked Iran irrespective of the status of nuclear program. It is exactly what neocons/Zionists did with Saddam's Iraq.
Re: Why did Iran stop its nuke weapons program in 2003? Were they afraid of somthing?
How do we know that we can believe everything the administration says? Maybe, there has been a deal where everyone is happy: US can shower its hero "Gen. Petraeous" for his awesome strategy of the "surge" while iran quietly goes ahead and do what it wants.
The plant construction seems to have slowed down [russians wanting $$$ from iran and having their own agenda????] but it seem like the repeat of pakistani story of the eighties.
Re: Why did Iran stop its nuke weapons program in 2003? Were they afraid of somthing?
All of the above drives from if you believe what Bush says. These are custom made intelligence reports. They say what you want them to say. This is part of a secret deal reached between Iran and the US. Iran met it's end of the deal first in reducing violence significantly in Iraq.
Why was the US compelled into stricking such a deal?
1. War funding bill requires showing progress for continued war funding.
2. US public debt is at 9.175 trillion dollars, piling up at a rate of 1.52 billion a day (each resident's share: 30,200 dollars).
3. Dollar has lost 36 percent of it's value since 2002 because the dollar hegemony has become over saturated even with globalization at it's peak.
4. Russia and China have trade, energy and investment ties with Iran.
5. Iran is not a sitting duck like Iraq. Iran has learned so much from and during the Iraq war that it is the most ept nation in the world to face the US.
Lastly, it makes no sense for Iran to be since 2003 developing long range missiles, acquiring long range submarines and running an oil bourse in euro if it were in fact scared of the US.
