Not really sure what the point is here. You say Hinduism spread through conquest, but it didnt have missionary zeal?
the point being, Hinduism did spread by conquest but lacked the missionary aspect to sustain it. It was easily overcome by organized religion like Islam and Budhism which also spread by conquest and also had the kings favoring conversion.
