Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

There are 8 more planets

Is Earth’s diameter and atmosphere bearable and big enough for us humans… I rather think not!!! We are destroying this beautiful planet Earth day by day…

Re: Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

Why assume there is no life in other planets? Our perceptions might not be able to recognize life but there could be life elsewhere which we might not even be able to see/hear/touch/communicated with.

There has been almost total destruction and reincarnation of humanity on this planet a few times before. Don't worry about it, we have nukes this time :P

Re: Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

It is all about Water............all them other planets do not have Water, life comes from Water!

Re: Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

^ Not necessarily. God can create life which does not need water or oxygen or specific atmospheric conditions.

Re: Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

Re: Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

We would be asking the same question had he chosen a different planet.

Re: Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

The question and the rest of the thoughts written here need to be rationalised.

1) Why was the Earth selected by God for Civilisation?

Earth has life confirmed, it also has civilisation which is the phenomenon of intelligent beings forming communities for large scale living going beyond survival. The word civilisation is often used erroneously in place of 'life' ... Earth if called the "lowest" world (in Islam) ... i.e. all pain and pleasure is low in this world. This is a different discussion.

2) What is it about Earth compared to the other 8 planets?

This question is about out conscious ability to compare the life we see here and the conditions here versus the life elsewhere or lack of it. Icy moons of large planets in the solar system may contain life - water is considered the main factor for life - that we can see.

3) Is Earth big enough for us?

Yes ... We occupy the world very inefficiently, but the crux of it is that we can produce food and support life at least a few times the current world population.

4) Will our actions on the Earth drastically change the delicate balance for supporting life?

Yes, because there is evidence of it

Re: Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

Truely a Obama style

Re: Why did God select Earth for Civilization?

I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts; the rest are details.

Thank God men cannot fly, and lay waste the sky as well as the earth.
