Its a masculine attribution given to him because he is the messenger and on earth at that time usually men were messengers thus he or it was given the title of HE not because he's a male but because he does things that male do on earth like delivering messages other than that Angels have no need for sex,food,sleep,entertainment they are if you will Plasma entities.

You know the Sufis used to kiss each other on the lips and on the hands . This practice was not homosexual in any way so in a way i can eliminate my sexual desires for a girl and smooch the heck out of her i'd still be fine:D it would be like feeling less kiss like if i had 50 botox on my lips.
