Denial is part of pseudo-extremism, where one believes in the extreme views but don't have the courage to carry out any of the actions.
Living in South (of USA) for many years I have come to know the people who believed that Rudolph is innocent while believing at the same time that people who carry out abortions and those who assist them deserve to die.
