el asking Dowry from girls family is un-islamic. But thanks to the effect of Hindusims in Islam some Jahil Muslim families in India do ask for Dowries. But still its not as bad as Hinduism.
This is one of the bad things we got from Hinduism( and there are many good thinsg also).
ITS not Hindu influencing Muslim in All placeses here is one e.g. when Hindu devdasni dress & Bra -Blouse with Christian Skirt is ousted in favour of Muslim Modest Dress.
Only Adha Muslims Copy Hindu Real Muslim Influence Other Hindus.

Christ College on modesty mode: Formals for
boys, salwar-kameez for girls
BANGALORE: Starting July 1, it’s formal shirts and pants for boys and salwar-kameez with dupattas for girls at the Pre-University (PU) section of Christ College.
The move will, quite literally, cover over 1,800 boys and girls of the Christ Junior College.
The diktat comes barely three years after Christ College hit the headlines for being the only one to ban girls from wearing jeans to college in an attempt to stop them from dressing `provocatively’. While restrictions on dressing no longer exist in degree classes, the college has decided to enforce a dress code for PU students.
In fact, the college’s prospectus for PU admissions clearly states the new line of thinking: ``Adolescent period is characterised by spurts of energy. In order to route this energy into creative energy, we have formulated a code of conduct for our students. Students shall conduct themselves in their dress, demeanour and sense of discipline in a manner worthy of Christites. The college strictly observes a dress code.‘’
While a `dupatta’ is not mentioned as mandatory in the prospectus, college principal Fr Abraham Vettiyanhal says this will be conveyed to students.
``The move was recommended by our lady teachers themselves as we noticed that many girls were dressing provocatively and boys wear casual T-shirts. After bifurcation, ours is attached to the PU Department anyway, that is, higher secondary school – Class XI and Class XII. The students are in the 15-16 age-group. If they are given too much freedom, they go to extremes and do not know how to dress modestly. Once they reach degree, they are mature enough to decide on their own dressing but we felt we need to inculcate some discipline now,‘’ Fr Abraham explained.
The rule will apply to II PUC students too, who had hitherto no restrictions. The college has over 900 students in each year in six PUC courses in Arts, Commerce and Science streams.
While other colleges have been known to impose a `modest’ dress code, no college has so far compelled students, especially girls, to wear only the traditional salwar-kameez at a time when most the younger generation prefers jeans.
When asked how they plan to punish defaulters, Fr Abraham said, ``We Fathers are obviously not going to check on every student. But some women teachers will keep tabs on it. Students are just expected to adhere to the code.‘’
Reacting to some students’ who reportedly said they will change their college and go to other colleges on this account, he said the college did not mind students withdrawing from the college. ``If they want to transfer to other colleges on purely this issue, we welcome it. We will be able to pay more attention to other students,‘’ the Principal noted.

Yaar, AQ this is no good. If SPM is a female guppie then she’s not impressed with your biography. Were you trying to ruin my chances by misleading me into using a sabotaged presentation style?
Dear …
Do u have problem wth English or what??
What i said here is that tradition of Dowry has unfortunately creeped into muslim society in India and its a hindu influence.
Since people of these 2 religions stayed together for so much time both of them had effect on each other both good and bad.
And this was a bad one.
Did I used word “ALL PLACES” anywhere in my message.
before starting any lecture read the post carefully.
