I think you have a point with regards to the negotiations not yielding any results, I agree with you. But if I see around myself the narrative in the country is for peace talks, why not let them go ahead? If the negotiations fail they (pro talks politicians) will have to present an alternate solution.

We have gone through this dance before. How many more times before we are going to be convinced that its not going to work?
