Can any chriatian or chriatain lover tell me that why christain women do the Pardha (Veil)?
Okay I am taking off from the Internet now and will be looking for the answers about veil if christain women and the reason if any scholar could let me know about it.
I am surperised that I posted this yesterday and still I do not see even a single person who could talk about the veil of christian women. Why is that?
I think I wrote the wrong subject. If my subject had read like this :Veil of Muslim women" I am sure, there would have been dozens of responsed from the paper scholars (Kaghazee Mufakirs) bashing at Islam and Islamic values. But now I am asking why the christian women wear the veil and who forces them to wear the veil.
Can any one answer my questions?

well the only christan ppl who do 'pardah'
are the orthodox christains and some of those who follow the old testimont( something closer to 'Injeel')and no one else.
christanity has gone its seperate way long time ago from the original testiments. Only ppl that do have lil bit old religon left in it are the catholics and those russian ortodox ppl those christain mullah ppl you may have seen having those "khaternaak darhi" and those black dress n all :)
and belive me they are also as worse as our desi mullahs.

The Old Testament is not Injeel. The Old Testament is the Jewish book, full of their beliefs. I am not sure who wears PARDA, but the New Testament tells Christian women to cover their hair when they pray.

Again I state, the New Testament is not Injeel. The New Testament is entirely man made. The authors are easily found by doing a little research. They were written many years after Jesus' [pbuh] death. Actually the first four books in the NT are more of a biography. I have tried to find info on this elusive book, Injeel, but have not found anything.

There is nothing in the Bible telling women to veil. Veil is something that covers the face. The Bible has two sections. The Old Testament is the Jewish part. The New Testament tells women to cover their hair when they pray :
1 Corinthians 11:5
5 And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head--it is just though her head were shaved.

If the new testament is not Injeel then what is the proof that the old testament is Torat?
If there is no veil in the christainity then why the christian women wear veil (cover their whole body except face)?

Why do nuns wear a sort of hijab? I never really thought of it before but there must be a reason. Good question msaqibj.

Christian women do cover their body and I am still waiting for the answer from the scholars that why christian women wear the veil.
Msaqib jee the reason they wear veil,because you must have seen the statue of bibi mariam out side the church or inside with veil on ..so it explains why....

The Bible is a collection of books written by different authors. Peter and Paul didn't change any pre-existing Injeel!!!! They wrote books that are included in the New Testament. Dude, just do a bit of computer research and you will see this to be true. Christians do not claim to have any book revealed to Jesus!!! The books of the Bible [like chapters] are considered God inspired. So, as I said before....New Testament does not equal Injeel! :)

Are not these catholic nuns christian?
If they are christian then why christianity asks the women to cover her body?

I said I wasn't going to continue this discussion, but here I am.
I asked an English friend of mine why she covers her head, although I basically already knew. She said because it is commanded in the Bible. I gave you the Biblical reference in an earlier post here.

Is not this a descrimination with the women in Christianity?
No chriatian around or some one who can answer these questions about christianity is around?
