Why can't we just call Mr or Ms(Mrs).

whenever someone(male) comes across a woman,he usually and suddenly becomes brother and adresses as sister or vice versa.
Interstingly, I have seen these cases later on culminating in love affairs and sometimes marriages.

Why can’t we just call Mr or Ms to each other before we know each other enough or clear our intentions.I think mr and Ms also carries as much respect as anyother adress.

We are all brothers and sisters in Islam. Doesn't mean that the one you call sister/brother is a mehram. Don't take the terminology literally.
