Home Economics is more for threads like 'how much taller should a husband be from his wife' and 'how do I make my feet smaller' kind of threads
And there's nothing to stop guys from participating either.

Home Economics is meant for what you have mentioned. The forum can be for such topics. i.e. sari wraps etc.
What you've implied is unrealistic about men/boys not paritcipating. If you would like segregation between the genders in a particular forum. How do you propose we stop men/boys from participating in such threads?
Its not like there is an influx of men popping out of every corner to reply to the feminine topics. So what if a few guys give their input. Some females prefer input from the opposing gender.
