Why cant we all get along?

I am noticing increasing hostility towards myself and a few other pakistanies from the indians on world affairs and in pak affairs. it has gotten to the point where its even seeping into the sports forum. Now I am always up for a spirited discussion but this constant snarkiness, while fetching in moderate amounts, is hardly the kind of thing you’d want in thread after thread.

I request the indian posters here to calm down, and try to discuss issues in a rational and peaceable manner. I believe this is exactly the reason why we are unable to resolve the Kashmir issue amicably. But we can start changing attitudes here on this board atleast.

Re: Why cant we all get along?

Thats happening only bcoz of folks like janab-e-ali /muffakar etc .

Re: Why cant we all get along?

here we go again... blame game!

chintu yar... you were one of the better ones

few days back you said i'm the best :)

Re: Why cant we all get along?

Ravage - I don't know about others but I thought you were taking undue shots in favor of Janab's dumbitudes and hence I was a bit (but not a lot since you seem to have a sense of humor) hostile to you. But I will get out of it

You are both the best just keep the discussion healthy , objective and rational, please . Emotional responses beget emotional behavior and ruin the discussion.

Re: Why cant we all get along?

lakkis when did i say that, i havent done the necessary amount of research before making such a declaration.

get smart... thank you for appreciating my sense of humour. i maintain though that janab, despite your bias against her, is one of the best sources of kashmir information on this forum. regardless of whether or not you agree with her views, she will always substantiate her opinions, and not stoop to personal attacks like others have against her.

so lets not use this thread to bash posters we dont get along with

Ya i do agree but dude sometimes they speak so nasty which really pisses me off. neways should learn to control emotions. its like ek machli pure talab ko ganda kar deti hain.

I'm all for that. She can say whatever she wants and so far what I've seen of her 'substantiation' is simply selective quoting of reports, numbers and opinions. That has been sufficient for some groupies but the moment someone digs a bit deeper, everyone of her 'substantiation' has fallen flat.

But that is the nature of arguments and I don't, like you, mind that.

Just be fair in applying standards - when Moonshiner says the mods like she-males and calls Indian en masse retards, you have to expect some response.

But I think you did the right thing here starting this thread to level set. Thanks

Re: Why cant we all get along?

we can all get along, if we dont wear our religion on our sleeves.

Re: Why cant we all get along?

i must have missed the point where moonshiner said the mod likes she-males etc. that is clearly atleast not something to discuss in WA, and besides there is little evidence of that.

at any rate I am glad indian posters agree with me and this thread didnt turn into a fight itself. we are all the same God's creation

Bughul mein churri moon peh ram ram. While they agree here, look at the other posts and see that nothing has changed.

Great effort Ravage. :k:

Personally, i think we can all get along very well. The usual contributors of this forum and more precisely, the active posters of WA are very mature. There are times when we all tend to ride the emotional tide and lose focus of the topic, and indulge in “mud slinging” for the lack of better words.

The issue of getting along is not of the skin color, or origin. It’s the difference of opinion. Sometimes we’re able to correspond and other times it leads to frustration. What we need to do, all of us, is to have tolerance towards each other. We may not necessarily agree with other person(s)'s point of view, but to lash out and take it as a personal attack does little to improve that gap of communication. I’m sure we can all display tolerance, we have many examples of posters who discuss issues logically and know not to stoop to an uncivil manner of debate.

Lets all take a deep breath once in a while, and reflect back in a humble manner. We’re all here to share ideas, to offer insight, and for some/most part to learn from each others’ experiences.

I personally thank you all for keeping your cool at all times, and i understand those few times when it’s hard to. But your effort to keep it a healthy discussion is much appreciated.
