Re: Why cant people just leave her alone!!
Regardless of whatever procedure she chose, the point is she is passed that, she has kids now. The point to note is that she is willing to work to raise them, I don't see that as being selfish. When a mother sacrifices her time and life to raise that many kids, that is not selfish.
Leaving them in a trailer park somewhere to rot is selfish.
Its her choice, just because normal people don't have that many kids, doesn't mean its wrong to do so, or its too costly.
Her costs are running into tons of expenses, but there are enough people who are willing to help her out. Even if taxpayer money is going to her, then thats exactly what it should be used for. Its not abuse, its the reason welfare and individual taxation exists! Not wars and bailouts.
She wasn't expecting that many kids, two of the embryos happened to be twins. So she was blessed with them, and the best part about it is, she is not neglecting, but accepting the fact that she has 14 children. That is not selfish.
The issue with her back has nothing to do with raising 14 kids, thats 10 years ago. I am sure her family is not that devilish to not support her, as it states she will receive as much aid as she can from family, friends, the state, and the church.
Someone mentioned imagine if all of America starts to do this, no, all of America cannot do it, because they are selfish. One person is fully willing to take care of their responsibility, rest of America will most likely run away from it. Its more common to have kids later on in life, than to start a family earlier.
From my own personal example, my grandmother did not grow up in a village, but in downtown Karachi. In a house, on one source of income, she raised 11 kids, who grew up fine, are scattered all over the world, and are perfectly healthy with kids of their own.
This woman, in California out of all places, will survive too.
We don't really need to worry that much about what psychologists think, when they're trying to get their 15 mins of fame on TV. :p
