Why are the bridal lehngas worn by the dulhans soo heavy. In other words what makes the bridal lehnga soo heavy?
And what are the weights of the lehngas, is it 10kg or 20 kg or less or more?

the heavy ones can be ~10 lbs= 4.5 kg

first of, considering how many yards of fabric you are wearing, then to top it off, all the extra stones, beads, and kaam that are packed tightly and close together add to the weight and bulkiness, mine is 7 kg if i remember correctly. so if you got a 2 legged, thats twice as much fabric instead of a skirt type, and the length of the dupatta and kameez add to it too.
