its a matter of "fitting in"
and it's not just pakistani youth.....all communities face this problem.
wanting to be like everyone else around them is a need that children face from an early age.
then they go through a phase of wanting to be individuals where they reject and deny belonging to any one group at all.
and then, hopefully if we have done a good job as parents, they develop confidence in their unique-ness....pride in their roots.
