you make fun or joke about the teachings of islam?
Forget the non-muslim morons of the forum here who always joke about teachings from Quran and hadith. Cowardly pick out certain versus and mock it. I am talking about muslims who sometime stupidly join in.
One one hand, you will joke about the beard, or a hijab or if someone ONLY eats halal food. You joke about the dude who gets up from your mehfil and goes off to pray. You joke about the maulvi in tableegh. You will mock certain items in the Quran (about virgins in heaven) or certain shariah laws. You will mock signs of qayamat from hadith. You will bring up OBL in every islamic discussion. I really have to ask, who the hell are you?
If your not a muslim, I dont care. If you are a muslim? do you pick and choose the parts of the religion you like? reject parts of the religion you don’t like or find funny? Ive seen you morons making fun of the white dude who reverts and becomes a muslim and has the sunnat dress from head to toe. Why are you making fun of someone who is trying to dress like Muhammad S.A.W.?
Do you realize what you do and say? and what some of the consequences might be?
I do admit, I may not have a beard, my wife may not be in hijab, but I always gave islam and our teachings the respect it deserves. I practice as much as I could and still I don’t think of myself as a very good muslim.
So back to the question, why are you a muslim? if you mock basic fundamentals of the religion? Then when something horrible hits you, then you suddently respect islam with the VERY basic respect it deserves. Are you only a part time muslim? or only then does the truth sink in?
Why are you a muslim?
Did you read my post? The question was with an “IF” condition. Why are you muslim IF you do the above which I listed. Not if you DON’T do it and respect islam with the respect it deserves. Read carefully next time.
I’m not a perfect Muslim, I don’t have a beard, it’s just starting to grow but I shave sadly but I do wear my pants above the ankles and if some bruva comes up to me and tells me u shud grow a beard bro and read quran and pray in mosque then first i shud take his advice but if im not gonna do dat i’ll just smile and not argue wid him or take the pyss out of him because he’s doing this cuz Allah told him to. its for my own gud. but these diks on here.. a religious bro tell them about beard and hijab and they think he’s trying to look down on them or summat, he’s doing his job, if ur not going to accept it atleast not waste ur iman and just smile instead of arguing and taking the piss.
this hatred for movlis is in these diks, cuz they know they are not as paak saaf as the molvi bruvas whose whole life is accordance with Allahs orders.
these piss takers are like the mushriqs in arabia who would wink at each other and joke at the prophet and their companions when they walked past em.
nabi (saw) said dat islam started as summat strange and it will go back to summat strange so glad tidings for the strangers, these bruvas who have big beards, no tach, shalwar above ankle are acting strange according to their socoities, they are the starngers Allah will reward em for their patience.
as for those dip shyts who take the piss, they are munafiqs like those at the time of the propeht (saw) they use to say “we havent ever seen no ppl who love their stomachs more or tell more lies or are more cowardly than these quraan readers” so Allah revealed the verse about them:
Make no excuse; you disbelieved after you had believed…” [al-Tawbah 9:65-66]
its the same wid these modern day munafiqs.
I might not be very religious but i’m proud of islam and know my short comings.
yes i have noticed that too, people make fun of sunnah and quran and claim to be a muslim. and when some one points out that fault to them, they say allah is a judge, dont judge us. well allah is the supreme judge, but he has revealed to us certain guidelines to judge among people with fairness. that allah is a judge so dont judge us is an argument that is silly from the beging, imagine a theif telling the rasuul SAW that allah is the judge, dont judge me and let me go. pathetic are their excuses and pathetic are their reasoning.
when some one shows open signs of munafiqat, muslims are required to judge, to drive them from the company of muslims because they cause nothing but chaos and spread nothing but trouble. if they come with them to the battle they will surely show their backs and will cause discord in the army, so do not even let them fight with muslims, even if muslims are little in number...
I believe all of u are right..I live in usa.. and i wear hijab and Alhumdallah i pray, I also pray late at night... but i'm not perfect..because nooo one is not PERFECT.....In USA there are some muslims brothers or sisters i know act sooo religious and nice..but they go around and talk about you! I believe everyone should loook at them self first and fix there bad habits. noo one should not judge nooone...Because Only Allah has the right to jugde us muslims sisters and brothers! RIGHT now there are soo much of backstubbing between a muslims brothers or sisters...we all should be together and make Islam the best. But wat it said in the Quran noooo one doesn't do it right...maybe 5% of it...LIKE i said muslim brothers and sisters, NO ONE IS NOT PERFECT...EVERYONE HAS SOME BAD HABIT IN THEM SELF..SOO LETS PRAY TO ALLAH TA'ALA JAAN THAT ALLAH TA'ALA JAAN MAKE OUR MUSLIMS BROTHERS AND SISTERS GO IN THE RIGHT PATH OF ISLAM. AMEEN...
Is it a sin to laugh at yourself? Feeling joy that way?
I don't mean in the sense that I am laughing at Muslim traditions, dress or customs or teachings. Not laughing at emulating a great man such as Mohammad.
What I mean is...
When one jokes about ones own customs couldn't that sort of be thought of as a celebration of those very customs followed?
I wonder if God is always somber?
I imagine he isn't.
As the saying goes .....
man made in God's image.
..doesn't that mean that God could also smile sometimes? Even laugh?
Why would God put up with we sorry beings for so long if nothing we ever do made him happy enough to smile?

Thats more of what I was referring to. ^
Come on, every religion custom and tradition encourages innocent fun, laughter and jokes. We are human after all. But thats not what I was talking about. I apprechiate your comments though.
yes, jokes are different than what the people do when they make fun OF religion. they laugh at the laws and people who are trying obey them, they laugh at the way people look different when they follow the sunnah and things like that. that is what the thread is about.
I think probobly the people who laugh at the customs and goodness of other people are possibly jealous, never had guidance, or maybe they are even atheist.
Here at home I can admit to staring at people that dress differently.
Not because I thought them strange. Though seeing people with pink hair, tatoos everywhere and multiple peircings is a bit eye-opening.
But because I was curious.
I have stared at Amish people who dress almost as if from the 18th century. Not because I thought badly of them. Or that I thought them strange. But because I was filled with awe because they have held their traditions and beliefs first and foremost above all else.
To me... sort of like standing up to a bully.
Don't you worry over those who behave in a snide way. Talk behind your back. Laugh at you. Try to make you uncomfortable.
Because they are just bullies.
And bullies only gain esteem for themselves by criticizing others.
