Please keep the personal details to yourself. Don't forget that the Quran lays some of the responsibility should be on men (have you not heard that there is an inner jihad as well?). Why would God have asked men to lower their eyes, if women were to be covered from head to foot?

Here read on ..When Pakistan adopted rule of law by Quran & Sunnah in 1974 and amended the constitution accordingly, it came to attention that the number of rapes & assaults on women had risen dramatically as did honour killings. Can anyone guess why?
Crimes against women shot up even though the women were now more obliged to observe purdah & veil because under Islamic laws - women would need 4 men as witnesses in order to bring charges against 1 man.
Moreover, if a woman press charges and cannot provide 4 male witnesses then she is accused of fornication that is punishable by death!
These are the Islamic laws that our brothers so valiantly talk about because it keeps the woman in its place of servitude. Well! Like I say - these laws crafted by a few men will have to be revised because they violate human decency.

well who cares about what u wear? at no point have i told someone to wear a hijab. but i did say that if someone wears one doesnt necessarily restrict her from doing any work.
now u along with others have no argument against that.... if u cant pray namaz then u dont have to put the concept of prayers down for it.
pardah although not as critical as namaaz is still something that is prescribed... if some of u dont follow it then why do u have to blab all the crap against it.... just so u can justify ur beghairat actions?

well this western woman is a NON-muslim. so we should look away and let her follow what it is that she feels comfortable with.

as for logical's claims that crimes against women have gone up... well they havent gone up because of muslims following Islam, but because of watching filthy indian movies on the vcr and other sexually perverted stuff.
Here is news for u "everything-is-right-in-west" morons. every FOURTH girl gets RAPED in US. Now figure out why does that happen. And u will have ur answers as to why Islam prescribed hijab for women. Whatever the stats are in Pakistan they are a lot less than the ones in these countries.
So if we sincerely want to have a society that does not want rape and other crimes committed against women then we need to follow Islam and not the screwed up western paths of nudity. If Pakistan was to hang a couple of men in the streets convicted of rape tomorrow as told by Islam.... i dont see any reason why a muslim or non-muslim would even DARE to think about raping a woman. Alas it wont happen.

I was talking about current era where very few people lower their eyes when they see a women...especialy if your in west.
I am not a quran schalor but I believe because god asked man to lower eyes because even women face possese attraction and can cause man to lose control. Man is soppose to control him self RIGHT there..but "shetan" is more powerfull and is able to make man lose the control. Controlling onces self sexually is like doing jihad.
If we were to follow the real islam...than we would know what should we do...
If you know how to read urdu please do read this book. "Daastaan Iman feeroshoon Ki" Very good book detailing the cause and who caused the current situation of muslims and especially muslim women.

The guys and girls who are giving reference of Quran please read it yourself first and then mention anything. Because many things said here are not exactly what are mentioned in Quran, so please dont just say Quran says this or says that, please confirm it first and then say. Islam and Quran is same thing, if u are saying Islam says it means its written in Quran or has been mentioned there, or a hadith or a sunnah etc etc.
Please becareful in this regard.
