And Imran Khan and the PTI are currently acting like anti-democratic forces. They aren’t working on due process or the established democratic processes. They aren’t following the court processes, they aren’t running within the rules.

They are going beyond the scope of the rules and basic governance functions. They are holding jalsas and protests which do nothing more than weaken the democracy in Pakistan.

Talking about elections, PTI followed the law to the letter by going to tribunals, which promised resolution of all conflicts in 120 days. But even after 365 days, we saw most of the petitions delayed by way of political influence, judge tampering, NADRA tampering and what not. Stay orders became the norm again. So how long would one expect them to sit and watch these toothless organizations (not) work?
PTI hasnt talked about midterm elections. Their push is simply about strengthening institutions, which PMLN is the least bit bothered with.
Democracy is not a one man show. But these status quo parties have made it so, which is why the public doesnt seem to mind as much when army takes over, because they are simply trading one one-man-show for another.
